How to calculate the tip properly
What is the appropriate tip for a tattoo artist?
While the skills of tattoo artists are always appreciated and encouraged, Michaelle Fiore of Beaver Tattoo in Queens, New York, says artists don’t expect them. It’s more of a way of letting your artist know that you love your tattoo and appreciate their hard work. Not tipping is an option, but be aware that this may leave a sour taste in your artist’s mouth. At the very least, it won’t help you form a strong bond with them.
In addition to saying thank you, leaving online reviews, and recommending your tattoo artist to friends and family, tipping is a tangible way to show your appreciation for their creativity, artistry, and personal service. Chances are, if you want one tattoo, you’ll probably want two. You will also benefit from developing a good relationship with a great tattoo artist.

What should be considered when calculating the tip?
Should you tip your waiter? my barber? Or someone in the service industry? Again, there are no absolute answers.
